Recurring Payment capability is what transforms a one-time sale into a predictable, automated revenue stream. Rather than relying on customers to initiate each payment manually, recurring payments use a captured mandate or stored token to collect on a defined schedule, daily, weekly, monthly, or custom, without any action required from the customer or your team. RealPay supports recurring payments across multiple product types and authentication mechanisms. Whether the mandate is bank-authenticated (DebiCheck, Capitec Recurring), card-tokenised (Card Payments, E-Commerce, RealPay TAP), or registered via debit order (EFT Debits, EnDO, Registered Mandate), the underlying capability is the same: consent is captured once, and the system handles everything from there.

How it works

A mandate or token is captured from the customer at the point of sign-up, through their banking app, card terminal, or digital onboarding form. That authorisation is stored and used by the RealPay platform to automatically execute payments on the agreed schedule. The business defines the amount, frequency, and start date. The system does the rest. Failed collections are managed through Smart Retry Logic (where applicable), reducing the manual follow-up required when a payment bounces.
